It had taken me my whole time at school to mull over what Venus had said to me. We moved from barely speaking as acquaintances to forming a relationship quite quickly. For that, I could understand Venus' hesitation, especially after hearing her viewpoint on mates during our date.
It had dawned on me that the reason I was so impatient for us to be a couple was that I had seen so many other mates fall in love almost instantly. But the fact was that not every relationship was the same. It was ok that we didn't move as fast as other couples.
