Alec showed Kelly out and Grant went to find a constable to drive him home. Tyler was still sitting in place, blankly staring at the wall in front of him.
Alec walked over to him. “All right?” he asked.
Tyler looked up. “Yes. I suppose.”
“Can I take you home?”
“What about Kelly?”
“Grant has got a constable to run him back. We can meet later in the week to plan. I’m going to need some help with our next move.”
Tyler nodded. “Yes. I suppose you are.”
“The superintendent is convinced of the need for a section that is equipped to deal with this kind of case if it ever occurs again. I was hoping Kelly might be interested in advising us.”
Another nod.
“And yourself.”
A glance upward. “Me?”
“If you’re interested.”
