ALIA'S POV
My eyes fly open when I feel excessive heat searing all over my body. Waking up in the humidity of summer is the worse; I'm sweaty, sticky, and oh my gosh, I can smell the saltiness of my sweat all over the tent. Good thing I don't have a body odor, or else that would be gross! It totally slipped my mind that it's hot inside the tent in general, in an outdoor setting. This innocent mistake results from camping in a fully air-conditioned room, and the credit goes to uncle Alexander for confining me within the council wall.
I irritably pull myself up into a sitting position and tug off my shirt.
