"How's your small talk with Lia, Devan?"
Devan grins from ear to ear. "She accepted the deal and the black crystal. However, she has a condition."
Cordelia raises a brow. "A condition?"
Devan nods. "Hmm. She will fulfill her part of the deal as long as we will not kill Alia."
"Huh! That stupid girl. Why does she want that family stealer to live? I was right in reading Lia. She's weak, and it's very easy to play with her mind. Hahahahaha!" Cordelia throws her head back as she laughs evilly on her throne while Devan stands in front of her, totally pleased at the scene in front of him.
Still in the middle of her unrelenting laugh, the sound of footsteps fills the entire Gothic-style throne room, pulling Cordelia back to reality.
