"Just try to hide it, Rose!" I huffed as I tilted my neck so that she could easily get access to the hickeys that Damian decided to put on my neck. I was currently wearing my long grey silvery dress. I can't believe that my sister was getting married today. I was stressed for her but also because I was wearing a strapless dress which clearly put my hickeys in view.
"Stop stressing! It will be gone with concealer!" Rose sighed as she softly applied it. My hair was tied up in a bun to make me seem more 'classy'. I was wearing a light make up. My green eyes were popping and my lips were slightly pink. I did a winged eyeliner, making my eyes seem more cat like. "Why did Damian have to suck on your neck like a f*****g vampire?" Rose huffed after a few minutes, making me laugh slightly. The door opened and in walked Jasmine and my little brother. "I'm done" Rose said as she pulled away. I stared at myself in the mirror and smiled when I saw that my neck seemed flawless and clean, without any suspicious dark spot. I turned to look at Thomas. The little boy was wearing a suit and a glare.
"What's wrong?" I asked as I stared at Thomas who was busy sulking. He approached me and leant his head on my shoulder.
"I look like a penguin" he whispered. I laughed at his words and took his hands in mine. Rose and Jasmine were finalising their make up.
"Sweetheart, you won't be the only penguin" I joked as he stared at me with wide eyes.
"Really?" he asked.
"All the men are supposed to wear this penguin outfit" I explained. Jasmine and Rose nodded as Thomas looked at them for confirmation. Slowly he smiled, showing that he was more reassured. There was a knock on the door, making all of us turn towards it.
"Yes?" Rose answered. The door opened and Rosemary walked in. She was beautiful. Her blond hair was cascading over her shoulder like small waves on the sea. I was so used to seeing her with her neat bun that now, it was weird to see her like this. She was wearing a mid thigh black dress and her dark red lipstick.
"All the guests are here and your presence is being requested" Rosemary said while staring at me. I nodded and watched as she studied my dress before walking away.
"Why does she have to be so formal?" Rose asked Jasmine. The latter shrugged and took my purse before walking to me.
"Thank you" I said as I took it from her and then took Thomas hand in mine as we made our way to the door. "I can't believe my sister is getting married" I mumbled to myself.
"Who knows, the next might be you" Rose said, making me scoff at her words. We walked downstairs where we found a lot of people, standing, talking to each other, all dressed more magnificently than each other. It's been a while since I attended a wedding of rich people. I can't believe that I was raised in this environment and I ended up working in a strip club because of my parents. I closed my eyes, trying to pacify my anger.
"Athena!" I turned to see Celina and Jeff, Damian and Dean's parents. A smile quickly appeared on my face as they approached us.
"Celina! Jeff! How are you?" I asked as Celina took me in a motherly hug. Jeff pecked my cheek and soon released me to stare at me.
"You look beautiful" He complimented with a smile. I smiled back.
"Thank you" I said.
"And so are the ladies behind you" he said. The girls smiled and thanked him too.
"We're good! What about you?" Celina asked.
"We're good. I'm a little bit stressed" I admitted, making the couple in front of me laugh.
"Shouldn't Alena be the one stressing?" Jeff questioned teasingly.
"She is not stressed! That's why i am!" I pointed out.
"Well, She was looking for you. Maybe you should go to her now" Celina said while chuckling.
"Yeah, i should get going" I told them.
"Can I stay with Aunt Rose?" Thomas asked. Celina was staring at my little brother in adoration. Rose took his hand and gave me a nod to tell me that she will look after him. I made my way to the room where my sister was getting ready. The door was locked so I knocked a few times and waited. When the door opened, i saw a maid. She smiled at me and motioned me to enter.
"I think I'm going to die" I heard my sister say as she stood in front of the mirror in her wedding dress. My jaw dropped open and my eyes widened. She was so pretty.
"Holy s**t" I whispered as I felt the tears formed in my eyes. Her white wedding dress had red decorations on it. It hugged her figure well. It was a very princessy type of dress.
"I look that bad?!" She asked alarmingly as she turned to look at herself again in the mirror once she saw the tears in my eyes.
"No. For the first time of my life, you look so beautiful" I tried to joke while wiping my tears carefully so that the make up would not smudge. She slightly chuckled at my words and turned to walk to me.
"I'm getting married, Athena" Alena said out of realization. I nodded while staring at her.
"The stress is coming?" i asked teasingly. She nodded. I walked to her and wrapped my arms around her. "You look beautiful and you are going to get married to the man of your life" I told her. "The stress is kinda normal because you're going to get married" I said, not really knowing what I meant.
"You're still shitty at giving advices" Alena laughed. I groaned but still a smile formed on my face.
"At least i tried" I said as I pulled away.
"You look smoking hot" Alena told me as she studied me. I smiled and shrugged.
"I know" she rolled her eyes. Someone knocked on the door and in walked, Rose with my little brother.
"The guests already seated and they are waiting!" Rose announced while staring at us.
"Is Dean already here?" my sister asked as she picked up the flowers.
"Obviously" Rose answered as if Alena was damn stupid. I have to blame the stress. It was making her stupid.
"Is my father waiting for me outside?" Alena asked again, ignoring Rose's tone. She nodded and then started making her way to the door. We opened the door and my sister walked out with us following behind. I noticed my father standing by the door with a smile on his face. He seemed relaxed but stressed at the same time. The smile on his face was not reaching his eyes.
"I'll be waiting for you by the side of the priest" I informed. Alena nodded while taking a deep breath. She walked to my father and hooked arm with him. My heart broke a little at the smiles that my father and my sister were sharing. I knew that my relationship with my parents will never be like this. I inhaled deeply as I walked to the alter. Dean was standing in front of the priest and i noticed that he was nervous.
"This wedding must have cost a lot" Rose sighed next to me. I nodded as I stared at the hall. The chairs were covered with white drapes and a red bow. The carpet was red with white petal of rose scattered all over it. Red roses were placed everywhere as the hall was decorated with white colours. As I stared at the decorations, my eyes skimmed gray ones. A smile stretched on my face as I stared at Damian. He had a little smirk on his face as he noticed that I was checking him out. I winked, making him shake his head while grinning. He ran his hand in his hair and this time, I realized that Damian's eyes were raking my body.
"Damian is eye f*****g you" Rose said from next to me.
"He's not!" I retorted.
"You know he is!" Jasmine said as she quickly stood next to me. I ignored the girls and looked for my little brother. There he was. Thomas was sitting next to Jace. Ross seemed to be bored as f**k. Jace was too busy talking with Thomas rather than with Ross. When the latter noticed that I was staring at them, Ross waved at me. I waved back while smiling. Being bridemaids, we were supposed to stand correctly but here we have Rose leaning against me and Jasmine whispering in my ear. There were many people in this hall and i barely knew them. The music started, and we all stood straight. Alena walked in, in her magnificent wedding dress with my father walking by her side. Her eyes were fixed on Dean.
"Damn" I heard Dean whispered as he put his hand in front of his mouth. I chuckled slightly at his reaction. He bent slightly and took a deep breath as my sister reached him. He took her hand in his, while staring at her. "You're beautiful" he said, sounding breathless.
"That's so cute!" Rose gushed from next to me. I poked her stomach and glared at her as people's attention were shifted to her and they were laughing. "Oops. My bad" she said, making people laugh. Soon, Alena and Dean said the vows and they exchanged the rings.
"You may kiss the bride" The priest announced.
"For sure!" Dean exclaimed as he crashed his lips against Alena's. Yes. They were cute as f**k. We all clapped and laughed as they turned to look at us. Dean's lips were red with the lipstick of my sister.
Soon, everyone made their way to the back garden where the reception was being held. People were scattered everywhere in the garden. Nearly each one of them had a glass of champagne. I nearly scoffed at such a cliché image but this is what my sister liked. "Hello! Can you all hear me?" we all turned to look at Celina who was now on the stage with a microphone in her hand. "I'll take that as a yes" she whispered in the microphone. Some of us laughed. "Please welcome the bride and the groom for the first dance!" she finally exclaimed as Alena and Dean walked in the garden. The DJ put on a slow music which happened to be Ed Sheeran song, thinking out loud. They walked to the dance floor and the guests surrounded it as they started dancing. I smiled at how happy my sister looked. Dean made her really happy. The way Dean was staring at my sister said long about his feelings. People started joining them on the dance floor. Rose and Jace quickly joined and soon I noticed that Jasmine was dancing with Thomas.
"May I have this dance, please?" I turned to look in gray soothing eyes. I smiled and nodded. Damian took my hands in his. I couldn't believe at how he'd make my heart beats so fast. We walked to the dance floor, hands in hands, not really caring about the people around. Everything was so magical. He put his hands on my waist and i wrapped my hands around his neck. We started swaying to the song while staring at each other.
"You look absolutely stunning" Damian said with sincerity. I smiled and tilted my head to the left to make as if I was studying him.
"You look okay" I teased, making him scoff. He rose one eyebrow as he stared at me. He knew that he was good looking.
"I don't look okay. I look eatable" he said, making me laugh.
"You look what?!" I asked in disbelief.
"That's what Rosemary was saying" he told me, making me roll my eyes. I sighed as I realized that as from tomorrow, it will be back to the daily routine.
"As from tomorrow, we'll go back in the daily routine. College and work are so tiring" I sighed as I rested my head against his chest.
"You're still going to work in that club?" Damian asked, sounding a little bit tensed.
"Yeah, i took one week off for that wedding" I told him. "Tomorrow I'll be working" I continued.
"We'll see" he simply said. I rose my head to look at him in confusion.
"What?" I asked. He shook his head and twirled me around.
"Nothing. Now dance" he said with a smirk as he run his hand on my neck, where his hickey were laying underneath the make up.
This guy is an overall of hotness and confusion.
