James and Scarlet headed out to look for Jade. When Kirra’s alpha ceremony was announced, Scarlet had been given a room on the same floor where Kirra was.
She left Jade’s clothes in her own room. She made sure that Jade's clothes were packed away so that no other person or werewolf came in contact with those. Ideally, those should have been burnt, but she did not have the heart to do it. Those were still her mate's clothes and had a lingering fragrance of berries. If she was to return today without Jade, she would need these to calm down.
She changed into her fight clothes with a determination that she wasn't coming back alone. The leather pants and shirt gave her good freedom of movement. Hiding a dagger in her boot, she headed off.
