26 We are stuck here...(2)
Tan P.O.V I stare at the blocked passageway in disbelief. This feels like a dream. What? We can’t be stuck down here…. I look around us, and the darkness suddenly looks think and menacing. And the thin air is suddenly hard to breathe. I wish I hadn’t even thought about being stuck down here, because it suddenly feels like I brought it down on us. I drop the statue on the ground, really not caring about absorbing any more power. I walk to Hanika and pull her into my arms. She cries on my shoulder, and I try my best to comfort her. “We will get out,” I tell her brushing my hand over her hair. She sniffs and then lifts her head to stare at me. I can hardly see her face, because we have our flashlight facing the ground, but I can feel it in her stare that she doesn’t believe
