"Are you ready for this?" Caylee asks, sounding excited yet nervous. "Doc, said that you wouldn't be able to see much, but we can hear the heart beat and the alien-like body." She says.
"My love, I don't care what she looks like, as long as I get to see her." I tell her, pulling her into my arms and holding her tight. We are at the pack infirmary, waiting for Doc to call us in. Caylee is pulling at her hair, twisting the strawberry blonde strands through her fingers. She had told me that she had refused to look at our baby when Doc had checked on her after she woke up. A part of her feels like she had dismissed our daughter, but I know that will never be the case. Caylee already loves the little peanut inside her and she is already fiercely protective of her pup.
