Trapped By The Devil

I barged inside the boss office angrily. This dude literally joined today and he had the nerve to do this to me. He must be delusional. I opened the door forcefully and let it close with a loud boom noise behind me.

"The f**k is thi..."

"YOUh..."

Without looking I opened my mouth but when I saw the face my anger doubled over. Myles Harvey was sitting on the head chair with a poker face watching my every action.

This can't be possible... I said under my breath. I couldn't believe.

"How could you?"

I said throwing the envelope on his face just like threw the magazine on my face. Myles Harvey straightened his back and then leaned back on chair folding his hand.

"Well my company my rules"

He stated as if there is no big deal. I rolled my eyes at his 'duh' tone and banged my both palms on the glass table.

"You fired me out of spite ain't you?"

I narrowed my eyes leaning forward. He thinks that firing me gonna make me weak then he f*****g needs to grow up.

"Get out"

Myles Harvey barked. His voice boomed accrossed the room.

"What couldn't handle a magazine report?"

I put on a smirk then straightened myself. Before leaving his cabin, I called him p***y that too loud enough so he could hear it.

I went to my desk then started packing my stuff. I am not gonna beg him, my talent is enough to get me a job. When I was loading the cardboard carton Shae came from behind me and asked why I am doing this.

"Ask your new handsome boss Shae"

I mocked her then said sorry thinking that its not her fault. Shae turned me to face her and hugged me when she saw my solemn face.

"We wanna to talk"

She whispered in my ear and pulled out of the hug then dragged me out to the cafeteria with my all stuff.

I wore my sunglasses to hide my red eyes and walked behind her with a coffee in our hands. When we reach the parking lot, I put the coffee above the car and opened its door to place my things in it.

"Is everything okay between you guys?"

She asked putting her palm on my shoulder. Suddenly tears started rolling down my eyes and I started sobbing badly.

"I... I... Nothing is okay bet.... Between us... We.. we had a fight night befo yes..yesteday..."

I said inbetween the sobbing. She again pulled me in a hug and patted my head.

"My poor baby.. please don't cry... I know him much that if you call he will recieve it... tell him everything and he will forget everything..."

I shook my head vigorously and wiped my cheeks and chin.

"NO... Don't tell him... I don't want him to worry about me Shae... He told me about an upcoming project... I can't distract him.. please."

Shae nodded her head in understanding and cupped my face. She was like a little sister to me, always there for me.

"I won't don't worry... But atleast talk to him normally..."

She said and smiled but it was forced. She wasn't happy either but I didn't know the reason.

"Did you knew?"

I asked at last. Shae was looking down when I ask her and she immediately looked up and shook her in no.

"No... The new boss had a meeting with all of the assistant and after that I met you in the lobby."

I nodded and sipped my coffee not knowing what's gonna happen.

"What you planning now?"

Shae asked. I looked up and shrugged my shoulder. But still I gave her the answer that...

"I am gonna take a week rest then hunt for new job..."

I said in a chill tone like I was done with life. Suddenly Noah came into my mind and I checked my phone for any replies to my morning text but there were none.

"Thats my girl... But I will say your ass is got saved from that monster. Because he just came today and putting workload on us like we are his donkeys"

Shae huffed pulling me out of my thought. Even though I was saved from his wrath, that little piece of s**t still took my dream job with himself.

"He is not gonna twinkle forever. He just excited with his new victory..."

I said and finished my coffee. Shae agreed and said we should get back to our things. I hummed in response and let her go for the work.

I got inside the car and leave the premises. My heart doesn't wanted to go back home but my mind was screaming that I have no other option. Lighting a cigarette I put it between my lips and smoked.

After reaching my apartment building, I didn't even look at the cardboard box and went straight to the elevator with only my purse. That box only gonna remind me of my lost job.

I pulled out my phone while unlocking the door then dialed his number. At first when he didn't receive, I tried again and again he didn't pick it. I felt like drowning in my own s**t. I lost my job and somehow it felt like Noah was also slipping through my fingers.

Throwing my purse at one corner, I ordered a large pizza and when it arrived, I didn't eat it. How can I digest the food when everything is going down in my life. I felt like puking my guts out but even my inside was empty.

When I dialed Noah number after an hour, he send me a text saying I am busy, can't tok. I wanted to throw my phone at the wall reading that text of him but stopped myself.

I texted Shae that I am going out of town, a white lie. Because now I just wanted to disappear for a week. I am gonna lock myself in this apartment for a week and I won't talk to Noah also. I can't just throw myself at him when he needs time.
