‘Go downstairs,’ Henry snaps at pup. ‘Bend yourself over the kitchen table and wait for me.’
Pup knows what’s coming. At least I can take a beating, she thinks; I doubt that poor little girl could. She can hear Henry’s raised voice scolding Danielle as she makes her way to the kitchen. Ten minutes later, after pup has spent an uncomfortable time waiting for the punishment she knows is coming, Henry appears in the kitchen. He has Danielle with him.
