Blair chuckled as he stood and looked at his wife. "Why don't you tell him that she'll be right down?" Finley nodded and then slipped down the stairs. Blair turned to his daughter even though she was already fretting over what to wear. He put his strong hands against her cheeks so that she would focus. "Telling the truth is always hard to do, especially when you're afraid how the people you care about will take it. But I know you. You're my daughter and if anyone can fix a bad situation, it's you." He leaned in and kissed her forehead.
Her chest tightened just a little when he spoke. There were no words to explain how good it felt to have a father who believed in her so much. She smiled and wrapped her arms around him. "Thanks daddy. I love you."
