Chapter 14We were sitting in my office, Chris reading about a concert at the Garden and me checking the London stock reports. The phone rang and I reached for it, glancing at the print-out of who was calling.
“Hi. How’s it going on the West Coast?”
“Very good,” Walt said. “How are things on the East Coast?”
“You know how it goes, much too busy.”
“Well, I’m calling to make it even busier. We need to get this film started. Is Chris ready?”
I smiled to myself. “I’ll let you ask her yourself,” I said and handed the phone to Chris. “It’s Walt”
She took the phone and pressed speaker. “Hi, Walt.” She set it on the coffee table.
