Chapter 17“Did your friend arrive safe and sound?” Chris asked when I phoned her that night.
I was lounging on the terrace, nursing my scotch. Danny had gone back into her room to change. It was a beautiful night; just a few clouds and lots of stars in between them. I smiled at her face on the phone.
“Yes. I can’t wait for you two to meet. If I can get her to move down here, we may have found a business manager for Roy’s clothing line.”
“Really? That would be fantastic. I know he’s been designing up a storm. It would be a shame to let his clothes sit on the drawing board.”
“It sure would. Danny’s got a good head for those things. I think you’ll like her.”
“By the way, we started to film the wedding today, so by Friday, I’ll be married to Ryan.”
