The event that occurred at the shelter was interestingly what I needed. The text messages that followed from my dad only confirmed my suspicion. If I had pieced everything together earlier, I’d probably go on a bender and lose my sh.t. However, I don’t feel the need to make a big deal of it or even acknowledge it. Not right now anyway.
Chase has been trying to get me to open up more and I plan on telling him everything, I’m just not sure how to yet. I’m upset with myself that I didn’t catch the clues and innuendos earlier. He’s been trying to tell me and push me to remember what I remember now from the beginning. I have the feeling that there are much more memories to come. There are still a lot of pieces in this huge puzzle I’m missing.
