Lowell wore a dumbfounded visage as he looked at Wednesday. The bedsheets were placed in a huge basin filled with water and soap, and she was stomping her bare feet over it - as if dancing on beat.
“You mean.. You wash sheets that way?” He tilted his head to the direction of the washing machine and shifted back to the busy lady. “You have a washer, Wednesday.”
She snorted and waved a hand in the air. “This is better. The electricity bill is unusually high these days.”
The young man scratched the back of his head, astonished but amazed. “Can I try that?” he asked while approaching closer.
The sound of a suppressed chuckle from Wednesday made his brows furrowed. When he stared at her intently, she pressed her lips together and averted her gaze.
