Lillian′s POV:
Nick did not look good in the morning. He looks terrible with his messy, but not purposely messy hair and dark circles. He sat on the edge of the bed, elbows resting at his knees as he stares into the distance. Nick exhales, burying his head deep into his hands.
I sat upward, curling myself onto his lap. He smiles at my actions. I kiss his cheek and cuddle into him. I did this in the past whenever Nick is upset, and it seems to work. His arms wrap around me, and he nuzzles his head into my neck; inhaling a breath of relief.
“I’m sorry about last night,” his voice somehow deepens overnight, maybe a lack of water.
I smile, “It’s okay. As long as you feel better now.”
His forehead dangles on my shoulder again and he exhales. “Do you think my dad thinks I’m useless?
