Chapter 24
After dinner wound down and Charlie’s friends left, a few Hanson’s remained behind. They surrounded the fire pit. The days were still warm and the nights cool, but everyone had a blanket or a loved one to keep them warm.
Daisy and Tuck left so Daisy could rest—despite her protests she was fine. Barb and Kyle had left as well. Meredith and Hanson, and Cindy and Riley were the only other couple to remain. Catherine had been introduced to the other guys on the team. There was William, Tyler and Dean. It would take a bit to remember who was who, but everyone seemed patient with her as she learned. Some had distinguishing marks, like tattoos and scars, to associate with.
