Maggie held her breath, trying not to laugh. Her ex would’ve been livid if a bird had pooped on him.
Davy giggled, pointing at Terry and then Peter and Izzy laughed.
“Do you think this is funny?” Terry looked at them, holding the nasty part of his shirt away from his body.
All three kids fell silent, their eyes wide.
“Terry.” She stepped between him and the children and he gave her a puzzled look. “Don’t be mad.”
“I am mad”—he stared up at the sky—“at that damn bird. I swear he aimed right for me. I recognized that bird butt.” He winked at the kids. “He was following me and Davy when we left the bathroom.”
“He was. I saw him,” said Peter.
