I pulled my house keys out of my bag as we walked up the door. Glancing up at him I could feel my hands shaking with nervous excitement of what we were about to do.
I felt like everything had been building up to this moment between us and I was curious about how things would go.
Fumbling I tried to shove my key into the lock and missed, his hands moved to mine. I jumped at the brief contact as he took my keys and unlocked the door for me. He pushed it open and I stepped inside looking back at him.
“Are you coming?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. I watched his nostrils flare for a moment as he took a deep breath before stepping past the threshold and handing me my keys.
