I looked back at Marcus trying to put on my most innocent face, batting my long eyelashes at him. Louis let out a bark of laughter as he sat his now empty glass down on the coffee table and I knew I hadn’t fooled them in my escape attempt.
Marcus motioned to the chair in front of his desk and I felt my shoulders drop. I walked towards it, my heels clicking as I moved, wondering all the while what was to come of my job and my life. Was I in danger?
“What type of things are out there?” I asked biting my lower lip/ My knowledge of what was out there was limited to the scary movies and books that I often enjoyed watching and reading, I had a feeling that they didn’t have all of the information my boss and his ‘friend’ had. I had so many questions and I didn’t know where to start.
