Chapter 7 Live Show

The head of the Spencer family actually called out his name! Henry was ecstatic. He eagerly extended his hand, attempting to shake Adrian's hand, and asked, "You know me?" Adrian didn't shake his hand. He turned slightly, gave a faint smile, and said indifferently, "No, I don't." Then he turned his attention to Vivian, engaging her in conversation about work as if Henry didn't exist. Once Adrian walked away, Henry, still puzzled, couldn't help but ask Vivian, "Do you know Mr. Spencer?" Vivian replied, "We just met today for work." Henry nodded, remembering that Prosperity Holdings and Spencer Group did have a recent collaboration. But how did Adrian know his name? Could Vivian have mentioned him? A smug look appeared on Henry's face. It seemed she still loved him. She just didn't want to admit it. ***** In the private box, the moment Adrian entered, he became the center of attention. Everyone wanted to collaborate with Spencer Group, even just to get a piece of the action. Vivian, who had just secured a project with Spencer Group, was seated next to Adrian after the customary polite exchanges. Henry's boss personally poured Vivian a drink, subtly hinting that she should help build a bridge between the two companies. The dinner began, and many people stood up to toast Adrian. Adrian, perhaps out of respect for Vivian, leaned lazily against his chair, accepting all the toasts. A few drinks in, Adrian seemed tipsy. He managed to keep the conversation flowing while casually resting his hand on Vivian's leg underneath the table. Vivian discreetly pushed his hand away, only for him to grab hers instead. He turned to her, his blue eyes more captivating under the influence of alcohol, with a lazy smile on his lips. "What do you think, Ms. Mitchell?" he asked about a project proposed by Henry's boss, Ted Brown. Henry desperately signaled Vivian for help. Vivian wasn't stupid. She had no vested interest in Henry, but Adrian was her client. Maintaining professionalism, she offered some polite remarks and distanced herself. "This isn't my area of expertise. You all are the experts." Adrian gently stroked her palm with his fingers, seemingly approving of her neutrality. Ted shot Henry a look, and Henry's eyes filled with resentment as he glanced at Vivian. Realizing Vivian wouldn't help secure the project, Ted tried to get Adrian drunk again. Vivian took advantage of Adrian's distraction, pulling her hand away and placing both hands on the table to prevent further contact. But Adrian wasn't giving up. With a mischievous grin, he stretched his arm behind her chair, his muscles subtly brushing her back. The ticklish sensation made her uncomfortable, but with everyone watching, she had no choice but to pretend nothing was happening. Adrian laughed, "Trying to get me drunk to sign the contract, Ted?" Ted hadn't expected Adrian to be so direct and was momentarily stunned before replying with a smile, "Of course not!" Adrian, though tipsy, had sharp eyes. "I'm not entirely opposed to the project you mentioned." Adrian's words made Ted's emotions rise and fall. "Feel free to state any conditions you have." At this point, the conversation turned to business secrets. Vivian seized the opportunity to escape. "I need to use the restroom." Adrian watched her graceful departure, a mysterious smile playing on his lips. After stepping out of the room, she stood in the hallway for a moment before worrying someone might come out and see her. She then headed to the stairwell. As soon as she entered, she heard the sound of water and a woman's soft, coquettish moans from downstairs. "Take it easy." The woman gasped. The man's voice, deliberately lowered, replied, "Taking it easy doesn't make you feel good, does it?" The woman's voice became even more coquettish. "Oh, you're so naughty." The man panted. "Tell me, sweetheart. Does that old guy touch you like this at home?" Both voices were altered by their arousal. Vivian frowned, not interested in eavesdropping on others, and turned to leave. Just as she opened the door, she bumped into Adrian, who was reeking of alcohol and holding a cigarette. Their eyes met, and before either could speak, the sounds of moans broke the awkward silence. "You said you broke up with that Vivian, didn't you? Why is she here today?" Vivian. Broke up. It wasn't hard to guess who was fooling around downstairs. Vivian's hand was still on the door handle as she pretended to be calm. Adrian flicked his cigarette ash and sneered. "Ms. Mitchell, do you enjoy this kind of thing?" Vivian was speechless. What kind of thing? Eavesdropping? Or listening to this adult show? As they stared at each other, Vivian pressed her lips together. Just as she was thinking of something to say to smooth over the situation, a few people emerged from the private box looking for Adrian. "Mr. Spencer?" "Where's Mr. Spencer?" "Find Mr. Spencer. The next part of the evening is all set up." Hearing his name being called, Adrian didn't move. Vivian frowned at him, hearing the voices getting closer, and impulsively pulled him inside. Vivian's cool fingers met Adrian's hot wrist, a stark contrast like ice and fire. As the stairwell door closed, Adrian's cigarette fell to the floor. Before Vivian could explain why she pulled him in, Adrian cupped her chin and kissed her. Vivian was momentarily stunned before struggling. Adrian, with a smile in his eyes, pinned her against the wall, his long legs trapping hers, deepening the kiss. Vivian had also been drinking that night. Not much, but enough to make her feel weak. Adrian's hand gripped her waist while the other brushed her hair back, his voice low and husky. "Wanna have some fun?" Just like that day in the car. That day, she had agreed, which led to a series of troubles. Vivian looked up at him, her slender waist trying to pull away. "If I say no, will you let me go?" Adrian's eyes sparkled with amusement. "What do you think?" They stood there, locked in a deeply intimate stance. The couple downstairs had heard the noise but didn't stop, becoming even more brazen and explicit. "Take it easy. Someone might hear us." "So what? Not everyone can handle you like I can, making you weak in the knees right in the stairwell. I don't care if a few impotent losers hear us having sex." 'Oh, no... Henry sounds so provocative. Hope Adrian won't take the bait,' Vivian thought. Adrian, however, wasn't as mature as she had hoped. He smiled wickedly, the narrow space filled with tension. "Your ex-boyfriend sounds confident." Vivian pressed her lips into a thin line, turning her head away from Adrian's amused gaze. Adrian reached out, lifting her chin to make her look into his lust-filled eyes. "Why don't you be the judge and see who's better?"
