Wouldn't what? Vivian was confused. She tensed up and locked eyes with Adrian. Feeling the heat radiating from her forehead, she couldn't help but frown. "Adrian?" Adrian didn't respond. Instead, his grip on the back of her neck tightened, and he leaned in to kiss her. The sudden, soft, and burning sensation on her lips left Vivian stunned. By the time she realized what was happening, Adrian had already deepened the kiss. Sometimes, some things were just beyond explanation. Like now, Vivian felt Adrian might be dreaming. But she couldn't understand why she would be in his dream. When the kiss ended, the cup Vivian held was emptied. Adrian, still leaning against her forehead, let out a bitter laugh. "That night, I tried to stop everything, but you made it happen."
