PART 2~ Six months later

Alice looked up shocked as I stepped into the room. Shocked and guilty.
What the hell was she hiding now? In the months since Lily had left me I had tried my hardest to stay out of Alices way. She didn’t seem to mind my absence and if I was truthful just seeing her was a constant reminder of what I had lost.
Lily.
I had tried ringing her in those first few weeks , against my better judgement and every single call went to answer phone. I didn’t call anymore even if her face was the only one I saw when I closed my eyes.
Just her.
On the outside I looked fine, but on the inside I was hollow. Broken beyond repair. She had done that. With her sweet lilting voice and wide innocent eyes. And she didn’t look back.
I doubted she even gave me a second though
