If all was fair in love and war, then I had every right to kill Topaz and not get away with it. Adan wouldn’t be able to kill me because I could just tell him how much I truly loved him and didn’t want to share him with any other woman.
But the only problem was, Adan himself was protective of Topaz and would guard her against me. It sucked that I couldn’t even trust him to side with me on this. Topaz was obviously important to him and I hated her all the more for it. I thought since he was practically forcing me to marry him he loved me and only me.
