After that woman had left with all the abrupt pieces before me I was sure of one thing. Ethan had something to do with not just her but also my wife’s hit and run case. The next morning, I walked into the office with a determination to work on the hit and run case and try to put the pieces together.
As I walked towards my office, I saw a familiar silhouette standing in the hallway and as the perfume hit my nostrils I was sure whom it belonged to. She turned her head and looked at me as the bangs waved across her face due to the wind. I may have not seen her for two straight days but just watching her right now, felt like I was alive again.
