I owe you one. I owe you a million. Next time you and the kids need a cheapo holiday and a free tour guide, I will take time off work and chaperone you around Cornwall personally.
Did as you suggested and printed the lot off. Left ‘em on the kitchen table for him yesterday afternoon. Wasn’t sure he’d go for it—he’s not nearly as nosy as Jason, thank Christ—but he did. Read the lot as far as I can tell, and we talked a bit. Cleared up a couple of things. Took him down to the gun range after and put him through his paces, and he seemed to be relaxing a little. Stopped giving me that awful look at least.
And he stuck around long enough for breakfast before going off to school. I’ll give him a couple more days before sitting him down again
