Light flooded the room as Lady Penelope threw open the shutters. Revi twisted his head, as best he could, to see what she was doing at her work table.
"It's interesting," she mused, "how simple it is to brew magebane. The recipe is easy to follow, but the measurements must be precise."
"Feel free to test it on yourself first," uttered Revi Bloom. "I'd hate for you to make a mistake."
She chuckled at the remark. "I see you maintain your sense of bravado, well done. Have fun while you can, Master Bloom, for I fear that soon you will be incapable of such diversions."
"Why is the tower so important to you?" he asked.
She appeared beside his cage, her task momentarily forgotten. Her gaze made him feel...vulnerable, and he swallowed in nervousness.
