28 – Avia’s POV:
After our talk last night, I sent Emerson back to his room. I needed time to process what I want, not what everyone else wants from me. I need to talk to maybe the Elder of our pack just in case things don’t work out with Emerson and I. I need to know if there is a way we can both survive a rejection. From everything we learned growing up, there are no rejections ever. It’s either except or our wolf dies and we rot away. I don’t want to lose my wolf, it is a part of who I am. Then my life may suck, but I still want to live it.
