Ava's POV:
I have to get back home soon or else I will be late for school. I need to meet Addy and look into her eyes and say "I proved you wrong". I want that satisfaction.
But if I think about it all, was it a trap? I am sure Addy is a local here and she clearly knows what lurks here in the woods, and yet she wanted me to go there. It was me who thought the bet was simple, but it never was.
A chill ran down my spine when I thought of those wolves. I hugged myself closer and started walking fast. I need to stop at the coffee shop before going to school. I need to fetch my phone.
The path felt beautiful. I turned around to look at the woods. I felt like someone was eyeing me, but there was no one. I will never ever step into these woods again.
