Lynn's POV :
The sun-dappled road stretched before us, winding through a landscape that seemed plucked from a fairytale. I pressed my nose against the cool glass of the car window, drinking in every detail of Adonis's homeland.
"It's... breathtaking," I murmured, unable to tear my eyes away from the rolling hills and lush forests.
Adonis chuckled softly beside me, his deep voice sending a shiver down my spine. "I'm glad you like it, Lynn. This place has been my home for as long as I can remember."
As we drove through what appeared to be the main town, I couldn't help but notice how strikingly beautiful everyone was. Men and women alike possessed an otherworldly grace, their features chiseled to perfection. I felt a pang of insecurity, acutely aware of my own ordinary appearance.
