Amber and Sam settled in Sam's lounge. They were both worried about the pack, knowing they'd done everything they could, but fearing it wouldn't be enough. Dave's mom and dad were broken. They had assured Sam they didn't blame her but knew their grief outway their anger at the moment. She knew she blamed herself. She took the glass of wine Amber offered and took a long drink. They ate their steaks in silence. How many more would die before they caught a break? Sam asked herself. If they'd wanted her, she'd have turned herself over already. But she would never give up Amber. She was so pissed off, anger boiled in her veins. Sam wanted to fight, to roar, and do battle against the threats to her pack, but how did you do that when the enemy was invisible? She growled and stood.
