Amber stumbled as Ava pushed her into a room and slammed the door. She almost fell but someone caught her and held her upright.
"Amber!" Sally's arms slammed around her and she groaned as another pair of arms, Maggie, grasped her tightly.
"Well, here you two are." She said calmly, relief flooding her. "We've been looking everywhere for you." She tried to keep her voice light and a smile on her face.
"Yeah, I bet we're the best hide-and-seek players ever." Sally laughed. Amber was glad that Sally seemed in good spirits.
"Did they hurt either of you?"
"Nope. Sally said we should just do what they say. And we did, so they didn't hurt us." Maggie added, she clung to Amber's shirt.
"That's smart thinking." She held her hands out. "Could you undo these, please Sally?"
