To my utter surprise, not once did I step onto his toes and with the way he was leading the dance, I was beginning to enjoy his company and just how beautiful the music was.
Tonight had been a night of many firsts for me and I can now successfully say that it turned out to be better than I had expected it to go.
I was so surprised that by the time we left the speakeasy and Xavier opened the door to the passenger side for me, I was throwing my head back and laughing at something he said.
I wipe a slight tear that escaped because of laughing too hard and I find him staring at me with an unreadable intense emotion in his eyes and a smile on his lips.
"What happened?" I ask softly, feeling more comfortable in his company after spending this incredible night with him.
