"Mom?" I croaked as I regained my consciousness. I looked around the room and as I tried processing what has happened the night before, I realized…
This isn't my room.
"Mom, where am I?" I muttered.
I tried to pull myself to sit as mom awoken from the chair that she fell asleep in. Her eyes widened when she saw that I regained consciousness.
"Oh, cupcake!" She softly exclaimed. A tear fell from her eye because of joy. She obviously didn't have enough sleep because of the bags showing under her beautiful eyes. "You're awake."
My lips stretched into a small smile and said, "Yes, mom. I am awake."
She leaned towards me and hugged me tightly. "I missed you so much! I'm so sorry, honey. I will never leave you alone again, I promise. I'm really sorry."
