A week before the wedding, Amber and I invited my family over for dinner. They were informed about the plans for the wedding. None of them had any complaints. Dad merely laughed at me. He knew I’d eventually back out because my family knew me. A big social event is not my thing. Amber enjoyed being around people but she was also against our moment to be shared with strangers. Sizing down the wedding had been the best idea yet. Amber and I made dinner together. That had been eventful, filled with laughter because we never cooked for more than two.
