As soon as the darkness took over, I knew I needed to see where we were.
The moon goddess herself sent me to her. I was meant to come like the others when all wolves turn twelve, but the moon goddess told me I had to stay behind as she wasn't ready. I had to wait for a few years, but the moon goddess gave me two gifts; I could watch her life unfold and mask my scent. And that’s what I did. I watched as she grew up. But many times, I begged to reveal myself to her, but the goddess kept telling me no. Every time I asked when I could appear to her, I was met with the same answer: I had to wait.
I watched everything within the depths of her mind. Watching the whole thing when her mother left her, and in the care of her father, I had to watch my human break and become a broken shell
