Bethany hadn't slept in our suite for the past two nights. I had no clue where she was sleeping, and that alone had me reeling. I hadn't seen her since she roundhouse kicked me in the face, and I felt like I was already losing my mind.
I was sitting on the couch thinking about my mate, when I suddenly smelled her intoxicating scent of lilacs and the ocean. When I lifted my face from the palms of my hands, I was excited to see her beautiful face. However, she didn't say one word and quickly sprinted to the spare bedroom.
Instantly, my momentary excitement dropped. I walked to the bedroom door and knocked before I defeatedly asked, "Mate, can I please come in and talk to you?"
