The past week went by surprisingly smooth. Bethany still hadn't moved her belongings back into our bedroom, but she had slept by my side every night. I could feel our relationship getting stronger with each day that passed, and I couldn't have been happier about it.
My parents had been especially welcoming of my mate, and that definitely made the transition easier for Bethany. The only time I have had any problems from either of my parents was the day my mum slapped some sense into me. I was stunned when she did that, but she was on point with the timing of it.
