It's been a week since the attack of the rogues. A week since I last saw that girl. I sighed, leaning back on my chair as I closed my eyes. I'm still confused about what had happened. I knew in my mind I had already chosen a mate, a luna, for the pack. But, damn! Why am I having second thoughts now? My mate, the moon goddess paired with me, is weakling and stupid. Who would charge to a place knowing there could be danger awaiting there? And it happened not only once. Did she have a death wish or something?
I sighed, "something's wrong, alpha?" Asked my beta. I looked at him.
"No, it's nothing" I replied. And he gets back to work.
