James's POV
I've finished signing documents that my beta had left on my table. I lifted my head when a knock came from the door. I put my pen down. " Come in", I said.
Rusi, my beta, enters my office. He walked towards my table and sat on the chair in front. "Hey!" I nodded at him. "Any news about that girl?" He asked.
I interlaced my fingers on my table. I shook my head "there seems to be no movement from their side." He nodded.
He lifts the frame on the table. It had a picture of a woman. "Do you think they've given up on her?" He asked again.
"Knowing that man," I paused, "I don't think so. And I bet he's just waiting for an opportunity to get close to her."
"You're right. He won't stop until he gets what he wants." My beta said. "Are you gonna let him take her?"
"Of course not!"
