Declan's POV
I did as Cadi said and left my mate alone to process everything last night even though every part of me wanted to go to her. Cadi let me know that she had taken her up dinner and some spare clothes and said that she was doing okay, still freaked out but coping.
I ended up spending most of the night in the gym with a punching bag until I exhausted myself enough to fall into a restless sleep. When the sun rose, I gave up and had an extremely long, hot shower, answered some emails and got dressed in a pair of navy jeans and one of my favorite t-shirts. There was no way I was training today. I had a mate to try and win over.
I headed for the stairs as I didn’t want to ambush Emmy at her room, but I could already smell her scent and followed it down the stairs when I got there.
