Emerson’s POV
When I explained things to Ivy, told her about vampires, werewolves and witches, I expected her to tell me I should go back to that Psych facility, but she surprised me and accepted it for what it was straight away. I guess it helped that Vlad kept showing up and staying in the room a lot. Kind of hard to find a reasonable explanation for his abnormally pale complexion.
I hadn’t seen Malik since our failed ‘date’ if you can call it that. Vlad had told me that Malik had tried to claim me that night but failed due to me already being mated. This meant that he couldn’t succeed in his plan unless he found a way to remove my mate mark, so I was safe for now.
