The drive back to the Kingdom was a loud, chaotic blur of toddler chatter. They cleared the magical veil and pulled up to the palace steps, the atmosphere shifted from the cramped SUV to the grand, expectant air of royalty. King Duncan and Queen Calliope were already there, pacing the marble landing with an anxiety that only grandparents could manifest.
