CHAPTER 17~ GODDESS ON EARTH

Julian stood in front of the mirror in his closet, folding his collar as he looked at himself. He was fully dressed; wearing a black suit and a white button-up shirt beneath it. The shirt was not buttoned all the way to the top; revealing a bit of his slightly hairy chest, and a black, leather belt settled around the waist of his pants that went well with his black shoes. With a bit of perfume along his neck, he walked out of his closet, then out of his room and walked his way to Larisa’s. He knocked, and a couple seconds after he did so, she responded. “Five minutes…I’m just trying to get this up.” “Okay.” Julian answered, looking down at his watch to check the time. It was 8:37pm, which meant he was thirty-seven minutes late for his meeting…and that grieved him. There was nothing he hated more than being tardy. He was barely ever late for his meetings and never unprepared…and yet this one; one that was so important had slipped right by him. He truly wanted to tie a rope around his neck. Though, in regards to being late, he’d called the club and asked them to entertain his cousins; with both women and wine…but he didn’t think that could ever make up for the time lost and wasted. Leaning against the wall beside Larisa’s door, he waited for four minutes before knocking again. “Little reporter, are you done?” “Can you wait a bit…? I can’t…it’s…” He heard a frustrated sigh and then he heard footsteps; deliberate and loud as if she was stomping her feet. The doorknob twisted and then she pulled the door open, looking up at him with those shiny, hazel eyes. “Can you pull up my zipper for me? I’ve been trying, but because the dress is a little tight…I can’t get it past here.” “Sure…” Julian nodded, the word drawn out as if he was in a daze. But he indeed was in a daze. Her hair was let down; not caught in a messy bun, not cornrowed in two…but it was loose, flowing just a bit past her shoulders in natural, bouncy curls. She turned her back towards him, the zipper she was talking about only halfway up. Julian stepped closer, fingers brushing against the skin of her back as he grabbed ahold of the zipper. He could feel her body stiffen, and the nervous breath that left her lips next had his c*ck hardening. She didn’t have to do much to pull the dangerous side of him out; the side that wanted to pull her zipper down instead of up, and strip her out of this white, body-con dress. It stuck to her body like glue, showcasing the hourglass figure he’d hoped to keep to himself as well as her delicate, slender shoulders. A bit of her chest was also on display due to its off-shoulder design and the long, meshed sleeve that covered her arms added a touch of elegance that he couldn’t explain. She honestly looked impeccable in that dress. Yes, it slithered a bit below her knees but the slit at the side made up for her disobeying his orders. ‘Well played, Larisa…’ he thought, a slight smirk, dwelling lopsidedly at the corner of his lips. Stepping a bit closer, he tugged the zipper until it was all the way up, enjoying how his proximity had her neck going red. “Are we all ready now?” She nodded. “I’ll just put on these shoes now.” She walked over to a pair of silver, block heels by her bed. “If I may ask…” She turned to him as she slid her feet into the heels. “How did you know my shoe size? Dress size could be an accurate guess, I mean, I’m slim…so of course I’ll wear a size small, but with the shoes it’s different. You couldn’t have had so much faith in your guess that you bought every shoe in the same size, and it magically turned out to be the right one.” Julian chuckled at her scrutinizing gaze. “I told you, I did my research. I know everything about you, probably even your menstrual cycle.” Her face screwed into disgust and he chuckled again, casually pocketing his hands. “That was meant to be a joke.” “Oh…not a very funny one though…” Well, how could it be funny if it really wasn’t a joke? Julian thought as he turned to face the hallway. “Come on, I’m already late enough as it is.” She grabbed a silver purse that was on the bed and scurried behind him. “I was also thinking…can I go to my place tomorrow? Everything I own is still there and I wanted to get them before my landlord throws them out.” “Sure, I’ll take you. Although you won’t exactly be needing them, but I assume some of those things has some sentimental value to you.” “Thank you.” After that, Julian led her outside in silence, where his driver as well as two other cars occupied by his men waited. He took her to the car in the center, opening the door and signaling for her to enter. She did so timidly, shuffling to the very edge and then watching as he came in beside her. It was dark, but he could see how stiff she was, probably thinking he’d do the same thing he did last night; inch closer…kiss her. Lord knows he wanted to, but in order to tame her, he couldn’t act in a way that she’d expect. Everything he did had to surprise her. “Sebastian, I’m ready.” Sebastian tapped the earpiece in his ear. “After you, Chris.” The car in front drove off and Sebastian followed after it. (-_-) The night breeze brushed against Larisa’s skin as she reluctantly stepped out of the car. Her eyes processed her surroundings, especially since she’d never been anywhere near here before. The first thing she noticed was how bright the streetlights were and then how busy the street was. People were approaching and departing all together and there was also a line of people amidst the purple and blue light that glowed from the club, making a ruckus about going in. Larisa inhaled the cold but fresh air as she closed the door behind her, looking towards Julian who’d also come out of the car. “I was going to open the door for you, Larisa.” “I didn’t kno…but…I can open it myself.” “It doesn’t matter, you’re depriving me the honor of being a gentleman.” He walked around the car and approached her and though Larisa wanted to step back, she didn’t. Her heart was pounding out of control in her chest and the cold breeze suddenly felt hot now. He held out his hand to her when he got close enough. “You look so beautiful it pains my heart that other people get to even see you, but I guess it’d be cruel to lock you away as my personal display. Let’s go.” She looked down at the hand he offered her, reluctantly taking it. Something about what he said had alarms going off in her mind. He was weird, the things he said…the things he does; they were weird. He'd said things that confused her before, especially the words of ownership ~of her being his~ that he'd spew from time to time. She wasn't his... well, when she really thought of it...she was actually his. For the next two months, she was his and there was nothing she could do about it. With a whole lot of reluctance, Larisa reached forward, placing her hand into his. He grabbed ahold of it immediately, gripping it not tight, but firmly. "We're not exactly going to the club to party. I have a meeting with my distant cousins you see. Only speak up if you are spoken to. They are dangerous people, and I won't risk having them harm you." He stepped closer and this time, Larisa couldn’t resist the urge to step back. However, as soon as she did, his free arm was around her waist pulling her closer to him than she was before…way too close; skin to skin contact close. A gasp left her lips as she came face to face with his chest. She looked up at him, cheeks going red from fear, embarrassment and nervousness. “W-What are you doing?” “I saw the way you kept glancing at me in the car. It was dark, but I could feel your eyes on me. Why?” Larisa looked towards the club, there was a fear in her heart…a gut-wrenching feeling telling her not to go, but there was also something else floating in the back of her mind. "I was jus~" "Was it because I didn't sit directly beside you? Or was it because this time around I didn’t put my lips on yours?" Larisa swallowed, shaking her head vigorously. "No...no! it wasn't, I was just..." She was just scared. She didn't want to take her eyes off him, that way...if he made a move, then she'd probably be able to predict and be prepared for what he'd do. "Please...it's not what you thin~" Julian chuckled, slightly loosening his arm around her waist. "I was just joking, but Little reporter..." "Yes...?" "My cousins think you're my girlfriend, so tonight...I'll be asking you to play the part. Not for free. Since it's a dangerous proposition, you'll be paid 5k which is equivalent to 5 days being taken off the contracted time. Do you agree? If not, then I can ask Sebastian to take you back home. I won't force you, this time, Larisa...you really do have a choice." Larisa looked towards the club, there was fear in her heart... a gut-wrenching feeling telling her not to go, but there was also something else floating in the back of her mind. 'If she went in and witnessed what nobody else has... would she be able to write a story when all of this is done and over with?
