You know what's funny? This is our first sneak-out, and we are already caught. The position that Jackson finds us in is one in which we can't even argue that nothing is going.
"s**t," Maddox whispers, and I giggle.
"Jackson already knew about us, in case you were wondering." I fill him in.
"Yeah, and I will keep the secret, but it will only be a matter of time before the whole pack finds out."
"You shouldn't worry about that; I have already thought about it."
"I don't think you did." He argues, and his lips turn up in a small smile.
Maddox helps me sit on the ground next to him.
"How did you find us here?"
"Everyone in the pack loves this location. In fact, I saw someone on her way here, and I stopped her." He informs us.
