I had no idea of what had just happened. It happened so fast and my emotions were all over the place and despite me usually being calm and collected, I simply couldn’t control it. We went from Cassian being all broody but bearable like he usually was to him not only being panicked but also feeling threatened by me and then it all just collided. And the fire? That was one of the many questions that were roaming around in my head. How did I not burn?
“Who exactly are you, Aurora?”

lingered in my mind just as much as my own confusion and despite the fact that I
went all out to convince him that I was nothing more than myself, I couldn’t help
but wonder if there really was something about myself that I didn’t know about and
