The Comte appeared looking a little bleary-eyed.
“I will tell Deirdre you are in Paris,” he said. “But I don’t think she will be back from the country for a week or so.”
“I shall be staying that long,” she answered. “But give her my love and thank you again for a most interesting dinner.”
