I can’t believe it; Alma is finally here, home. I have been holding her all the way, never letting her go, not even for one second more than I needed when we finally roll up on the driveway to the small house that is her home, her and mine, and the pups.
She looks scared, and I give her a sincere smile. She has nothing to be afraid of; this is her pack, her family, and her pups. She is going to be a great mom. I can finally stop relying on Scarlett to take care of them when I’m gone, and she can start to live as she should, not being an unpaid babysitter to me.
