Chapter 19Cara had forgotten she’d called him.
It was the night after she’d met Todd and, feeling lonely and a little tipsy after downing a half bottle of Chardonnay, she’d found the crumpled paper that had his number on it, and as late-night and drunken actions often do, felt compelled to give that hunk a ring. In the old days, she thought, snorting with laughter and fear, we called it drunk dialing.
What would she say?
She had no idea and hoped only that he’d take the lead. Hell, she hoped he remembered who she was. The guy’s looks and his interactions with so many people practically guaranteed he got calls from many admirers.
Or maybe not? Perhaps Cara was one of a special and select few he’d given his number to.
