I stared at Aden from across the room. He had been the one to put the distance between us when Daisy had left for her girls night.
I knew why she felt she had to leave , I even understood it but I felt like I was lost at sea. Floating adrift.
I just hadn’t realised how lost I had been until I had both my mates back in my bed. The fact that we had both marked Daisy and not each other complicated matters but it was no way as complicated as the feelings I had for him.
Or the pain I felt as he looked at me from across the room with his eyes hooded. I knew what he was thinking , just like I knew what he was going to say before he said it.
